Rootsriders, famous for their Tribute2BobMarley liveshows, will be back with a new show next spring 2013. Forty years after the release of the ground-breaking album Catch A Fire that caused the international breakthrough for The Wailers, Rootriders honours this legendary album.
The exciting Catch A Fire Tour in 1973 introduced the world to the exhilarating music of Bob Marley and his band. Rootsriders return to the day and age in which The Wailers were flourishing as a band, but were increasingly directed by the creative genius of Marley.
Catch A Fire can be seen as a blue print with which Bob Marley concurred the world, but at the same time it is an album that breaks with the tradition of The Wailers. The exceptional talent and charisma of Bob Marley reduced the input by founders Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, a situation that eventually lead to the separation of The Wailers.
