Waylon released ‘The Escapist’ in October 2011, his first single of his second album ‘After All’. While he was working on his third album, he was a contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest. He decided to ask Ilse de Lange to join him, because they were recording an album as an occasional duo: The Common Linnets. Together they reached the second place for the Netherlands. He is the Dutch submission again in 2018. In 2016 he became a successful coach for popular Dutch TV-Shows: It Takes 2 and The Voice of Holland.
It was totally unexpected when Waylon released his fourth studio album ‘Seeds’ at November 18th 2016. This album also reached the first place. That same year, on November 24th and 25th, he performed in a sold out Ahoy Rotterdam. He played songs of the Top 1000 Of All Times from Radio Veronica with a 15 man big band.
He ended the year 2017 in Ahoy again, the show was filled with fans for three nights in a row. The year 2018 is in sign of the Eurovision Song Contest, his new album, Ahoy and of course the new ‘The World Can Wait’ tour.
