Since releasing the debut album ‘To Lose My Life’ this trio vouches for catchy pop songs with a dark edge – a sound that appeals gigantic by the general public at festivals like Rock Werchter, Pinkpop and Glastonbury. With achievements such as ‘Death’, ‘Farewell To The Fairground’, ‘Bigger Than Us’ and ‘Big TV’, the band has built a nice resume full of compelling anthems with a high sing-along content. The melancholic vocals of Harry McVeigh is probably the most appealing factor, but also the sinister bass lines, the sonorous drums and the typical ’80s synths are a real treat for the ears.
In October 2016 there will be an end of the two-year break with a new disc called ‘Friends’. With more cheerful sounding synth pop and lyrics that focusses more on ‘love’ than ‘death’, the band takes steps without changing her sound rigorously.
