Yellofox is contemporary Americana with a great seventies vibe. Folky, groovy, and full of good energy. Think “on the road through America in the seventies with a trunk full of ideals and dreams,” and you’ve got the Yellofox feeling.
Yellofox’s music is influenced by songwriters from the sixties and seventies, as well as more contemporary artists like Bonnie Prince Billy, Eels, The Barr Brothers, and Fleet Foxes, serving as a source of inspiration. What stands out are the unconventional instruments such as the cello (with hints of Nick Drake in the distance), violin, and double bass, which, combined with guitars and groovy drums, create the Yellofox sound. But it’s really the stories, sung with those distinctive seventies-style harmonies, that draw you in.
