Zea’s albums are released on their own Makkum Records label, on which De Boer also releases other music from all over the world. With this grass-roots way of working within an international music network, Zea has already performed on stages in Asia (Lebanon), Africa (Ghana, Burkina-Faso, Ethiopia) and South America (Brazil).

Zea is the solo project of the Frisian Amsterdammer Arnold de Boer, also known as the singer and guitarist in the renowned post-punk band The Ex. In more than twenty years, Zea played in forty countries on six continents. Wherever he goes, De Boer sings in Frisian as well as in English. Check him out at Paardcafé on 23 march 2022!
