New managing director Paard van Troje: Majel Blonden
Paard van Troje has found a new managing director: Majel Blonden. This decision has been made on Tuesday the 4th of February by the music venue’s independent board.
Majel Blonden succeeds Jeroen van de Wiel, who announced his resignation as a managing director in November last year to proceed his carreer at the Schouwburg Almere.
New managing director Majel Blonden started working as a booker for Nighttown and Rotown (Rotterdam) in the 90’s. She has also taken care of the music programme of Metropolis festival, amongst other festivals. Moreover, she took part in several advisory committees including the advisory committee of Fonds voor de Podiumkunsten (Performing Arts Fund). Ever since she started working for Paard van Troje as a booker in 1997, she has made sure that Paard van Troje’s concert agenda consists of a diverse and broad spectrum of (musical) events, turning the music venue into one of the most renowned pop stages in The Netherlands. The amount of experience that she has in The Hague’s cultural landscape, as well as her experience in the national and international music scene, makes it evident that she is fit like no other to lead and manage Paard van Troje.
The board, as well as the employees of Paard van Troje, wish Majel lots of luck with her new assignment as managing director.
